Laptop Buying in 2007

I want a laptop and I think I will be more productive with a laptop.  I on the other hand know nothing about computers, but I do like doing research so I think I will be ok.

What I would like in a laptop:

1. DVD drive (a dream)
2. Internet capabilities (wireless)
3. a laptop under $900 (I think I might be dreaming)
4. I would like wide-screen

My research says:

• I am a general purpose user (meaning that i want to competently browse the web and do email and the laptop should be solid enough to watch movies)
• Processor: dual core (preferably) Celeron or AMD Sempron processor
• Operating system: Vista
• Memory: 512 MB
• Hard Drive: 80GB
• Optical Drive: Dual-Layer
• Display: 15.4 wide-screen
• Ports:  3 USB ports

Right now I am looking a basic deal with no extras.  I do have access to programs so I do not see any problems with that.  I am however worried that I will damage my laptop because I am accident prone, but that’s a chance I am willing to take right now. 

 Right now I will take any advice.

Goals for Feb

I am trying to set goals for myself in February 2007. 

• I plan to go to church this Sunday and if it goes well I plan on continuing to go to church.
• Adding more inspirational stuff to my inspirational scrapbook.
• I will acknowledge all my feeling , so that I can get over them faster.
• Integrate exercise into my daily routine.
• Get up at 5:30am.
• Bring creative solutions to all of my problems.
