You Are a Club Sandwich

You are have a big personality. It’s hard for anyone to ignore you!
You dream big. You think big. And you eat big.
Some people consider you high maintenance, but you just know what you want… and when you want it.

Your mortal enemy: The Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Not Until May 1st

April 23, 2007 · No Comments

I will not be back in the office until May 1st.  I am not excited about that.  I feel that I have so much to get done,  But alas I have to be out.  I have a train the trainers course the rest of this week and then I am off next Monday to go to my monthly doctor’s appointment, which is going to be wierd.  Who likes seeing their doctor every month?  Who?  I guess I better get to like it.  I am also debating on getting a wireless card for my labtop.

Spring Cleaning

April 17, 2007 · No Comments

When I was younger my mother had a Spring cleaning ritual.  Every Spring when I was younger she would clean the house thoroughly.  Everything that we didn’t use or that was in the way got tossed.  I lost a lot of good things over the years to her Spring cleaning fits, but I also had simplicity.  The clutter I collected over the year got thrown out.  I was able start with a fresh palette.

On another note I am a type of person that believes in signs. There was this episode of Joan of Arcadia in which God asked her to spring clean.  And the whole show she thought God meant Spring cleaning her bedroom and locker when actually God meant for her to unload the weight she was carrying mentally.  I also bumped into an article entitled “Spring Cleaning . . . Inside and Out” by Lisa Rocks McKeough.

I have had a lot of stuff on my mind lately.  And there has been a lot of stuff weighing me down, not just the extra weight :) I have put on.

McKeough suggests that you decutter and answer the following questions:

1. What is sparkling again?
2. What is there room for now?
3. What is possible now that you have a clear window to look through?
4. What am I ready to spring into?

I am going to do both and answer my questions in private.

Disney’s First Black Princess

April 13, 2007 · 2 Comments

When I read this I could not believe it.  Disney is coming out with an animated film that features a black princess-Maddy.  There are so many reasons why I like this movie.

  • The movie takes place in New Orleans.  If any where deserves to shine right now is New Orleans.
  • It’s from the people who did the “Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin”
  • The movie is hand drawn, and not computer animated.  That is new in the present, almost all ‘animated’ films are computer done.
  • It’s like a broadway musical.  I love it.

What Does Deathly Hallows Mean?

April 13, 2007 · 4 Comments

J.K. Rowling refused to define the definition of Deathly Hallows and what it means?  So me being a tad obsessed with HP has decided to define what is means.

Deathly of course meaning fatal and Hallows means to set aside great respect or holy.  It’s more than likely a puzzle or riddle type title.  Fatal Holiness?  Or maybe he will have to use something that is holy yet fatal. Or maybe it’s JK is meaning crusades.

 What do you think?

My Inner Artist

April 12, 2007 · No Comments

I am starting to work on my pieces that I want to formally present to the world.  I am doing a collection of colored pencil pieces that reflect me.  Each is a different self-portrait.  I am going to see if i cannot get them on-line when I finish.  I am so excited I started last night.

Being a kickball ref is challenging.  I thought making calls would be easy, but it hasn’t.  When you are a ref it’s like you against the world.  People booing.  It is crazy, but I have fun.  I want to actually participate on a team next season.  Hey I know the rules.

Me and some friends are going to Olive Garden today.  It’s going to be fun.  We are having cake and sangria.  They have the best sangria.

My throat is feeling kind of funny.  I do not know what is going on.  It feels like it is swelling.  No worries though.  At least not yet.  I have to make a trip to the pharmacies any way, so I will just pick up some throat spray.  I might have to go to my doctor if it persists.

Super Sweet 25

April 11, 2007 · No Comments

It was a different birthday.  I had fun.  My mother came home early from her vacation, so we spent some time together.  We took a family potrait.  And I had another surprise dinner @ Season 52.  The service was awful and the food did not follow far behind.  It was an interesting birthday.

Before The BIG Day ? :l

April 9, 2007 · No Comments

It is the day before my 25th birthday.  I took off today and tomorrow.  I does not like to admit this, but I am scared and anxious about tomorrow.  I have nothing planned and I am broke.  I have not said anything to my friends about my c-day, because I just want it to be low key.  It’s a special day, don’t get me wrong.  I just need a little quite time.  I am pretty low key,  There are times when I am a bit outrageous though.  I just feel that everyday should be a special day, and we should not put so much into on one day.  The day is important, but not that important.  I guess I feel there are other things that need my attention.  One of the ladies I use to work with has bacterial meningitis and she has to learn how to walk and talk again.  That is bigger than my birthday.  Me having polycystic ovary syndrome is bigger than my birthday.  So I want to celebrate it, but not make it the highlight of my day. I think I might volunteer or something.  Make tomorrow about giving back to others.
