3.       Prepare to move.  Pack and organize room

4.       Volunteer, it’s something that I have been missing for the past couple of months.  I love volunteering.

5.       Write my memoir.  November is national write a book month and I am choosing to write my memoir.  8 pages a day is my goal.

6.       Take an art class

7.       Go to a religious service

8.       Take more photos.  Starting in November I will take more photos of memorable events.  Thanksgiving and Christmas.

9.       Pamper myself once a week

10.   Write about something positive everyday

11.   Talk to one guy.  Romantically.  Yes, I have never approached a guy.  Before the end of the year I will ask a guy on a date.

The Forgotten

October 30, 2007 · No Comments

I have to admit that I need help.  I am not able to focus and I stressed beyond limit.  It may be because my hormones are out of wack or it may be because something else is causing a chemical imbalance.

I keep forgetting stuff.

I forgot my mothers birthday!!!!  Can you believe it, no call no show.  Nothing. It slipped my mind until this morning and her birthday was yesterday.  I am too far gone.

I forgot my laptop on my car roof and drove off.  My brother saw it in the driveway and picked it up.  Lawd help me.

These are only things that I can remember that I forgot.  I am going down hill.  Way down!!!!

Happiness Sold Separately

October 25, 2007 · 1 Comment

I am reading Happiness Sold Separately By Libby Street.

The main character is me.  Ryan Hadley doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life and her friends seem to have it all together.  The love of her life reappears across the country and she ended things with him.  Her Mr. McSteamy.  I would not have pushed him away.  Not to mention she lists everything.  I love that.  I am going to recreate some of her lists for my blog.

Cake

October 22, 2007 · 1 Comment

My mother is not an easy person, I thank we are similar in that way.  After one vacation she came back with a strawberry tattoo on her stomach, you never know what you are going to get with her.  She gave me the daring task of being in charge of her birthday cake.  That is all she wanted me to get her for her birthday.  She wants it to have purple icing and chocolate cake on the inside.  She doesn’t want her name on it, because she says that people know her by other names.  This may seem simple to most people.  My mother is expecting a lavish cake.  I am worried.

I am feeling sick to my stomach

I went and saw the DL Chronicles last night.  It was disturbing.  It was about this man named boo who mooched off his mother and what I can assume is his long term girlfriend.  While mooching he sleeps with almost the whole neighboorhood both men and women from around the way.  I think that writers tried to justify his behavior.  It really pissed me off  I would hope that Boo was more dimentional than that.  Maybe I was scared because a lot of men both straight and gay are like that.

I saw Why Did I Get Married.  I loved Jill Scott, she was really good in this movie.  Jill made the movie with an Oscar award winning performance.  Tyler Perry did good, because I have not been a fan of his.  Even though I did not like the fact he was an actor in this movie.  Every time I see his face I think of Medea, which makes me mad because Medea puts out a bad image for black women.  It’s hard to break stereotypes put forth by the Medea.  And black women are still being potrayed as sex objects, mamas (who don’t have sex?), or men like.  Thinks Perry for having real women in this movie and not a man in a bad wig.

I want to go home and get in the bed, but I cannot.  I have to hold up until tonight.

Tonight is Wenesday night.  My friend cooks and other people come over his place.  We watch America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, and Dirty Sexy Money.  Everything is great, I am so going after work.

Hey NOW !!!!!!

October 14, 2007 · No Comments

Hey.  It’s been an interesting October.  I think my hormones are finally stable, thank God.  I am in a consitant mood for more than a milliasecond.  How had October been interesting?

Work- program assistant quit, so now someone has to cover phones.  For the most part that has been me.  Then my other co worker in my department was out sick (yes, for the whole week).  Someone has been on mt booty and I am ready to move into my own office.  Ready.  I worked seven days straight!!!  Horrible and I am not proud to say that some of it was un called for.  We have a lot of events in October!!!

Halloween-  My mother is throwing a party at her house.  Which is cool I quess, but she wants me to help. I am like yicks.  But it will be fine.  My costume was not what I originally planned.  But I am happy with the outcome.  I am going to be an angel.  Yes.  I love dressing in white to, who would have guessed it.  The only thing that I am worried about is that I have to wear this costume to two events.  Lets pray it holds up.  I also want some bigger wings.

Friends- I have not talked to H and our show is back on.  I hopw that she is ok.  Still talking to J and M, which is really cool.  I like talking to all my friends.

Depressed?

October 10, 2007 · No Comments

Can you believe there has been a poll out and people are thinking I am depressed!!!!  I have all the symptoms.  I am taking hormones, do you think that could be it?  I feel great and I think that I have all my thoughts under control.  I love life and living.  I am not severly depressed.  I have been sleeping a lot, because I am tired.  I am not going home though until it is time for me to go to bed, just so I can stay up and not sleep my life away.  Because I have been sleeping elevan hour days.  It all started with the hormones, I believe.  But like I said I feel fine.  People say they can see it on my face and hear it in my voice.  I could not be better.

Eat Pray Love

October 7, 2007 · 1 Comment

I saw Elizabeth Gilbert on Thursday in person.  She came to the Decatur library.  She was so nice and funny.  While I waited in line I asked myself what I should say to her.  Everything came to mind and nothing cae to mind.  When I was faced with seeing her face to face for a maximum two minutes.  I could only come up with please write something inspirational and fun.  She smiled, maybe it was a nervous laugh or maybe she was laughing at me.  She looks better in person than on the internet.

She wrote, “Brave Swiftly, Be Nice.  To yourself.”  Cute.
